Young Man Called in Death
Lloyd William Soper of liberty township passed away Tuesday October 24 [1916] after an illness of several months with lung trouble. He had reached the age of twenty-seven years and had a useful life before him. He leaves a young wife and a small babe besides a host of friends and many relatives to moun his untimely death. Funeral services were held from the home Thursday October 28th at 11 O'clock. conducted by Rev E.W. Curtis of Chariton. Interment in teh Newbern Cemetery.

He was the son of Hiram Vawter and his wife, Minnie Estella (Poush) Vawter.
There is a book called The First Rose of Summer by Eleanor Rose Ball. She was the oldest daughter
of Mary Hemphill and Guy Vawter. It has genealogy in it and reminisces from
her life and pictures. It is a 200 page book.
