The Will of William James, Sr.

In the name of God Amen.
I William James Sen of Notaway Parish in the County of Amelia (Virginia) being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God therefore and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye I do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it and as touching such worldly estate as wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I give devise and dispose of the same as follows:
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Rosannah James all my estate both real and personel during her life or widowhood.
I give and bequeath to my son Cary James two shillings & six (?) pence.
I give and bequeath to my son William James two shillings & six (?) pence.
I give and bequeath to my son John James two shillings & six (?) pence.
My will and desire is that my estate should be sold both real and personel after my youngest child Frances shall come to the age of fifteen and the death of my wife and the money to be equally devided among the nine youngest to wit, George James, John James the younger, Joseph James, Thomas James, Jesse James, Elizabeth James, Rosannah James, Martha James, Frances James.
I do hereby make void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made and I do ordain and appoint my two (sons) Cary James and William James my executors of this my last will and testament to se my debts paid and legucys performed as witness my hand and seal this 19 day of December one thousand seven hundred and seventy one.

Lynn is buried in the Pioneer Memorial cemetery, Wagoner, OK.

Funeral services for F. Lynn Rogers, 75, of Wagoner, were 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hersman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Naugher conducting the rites.Burial was in Pioneer Cemetery. Mr. Rogers died April 2, 1988 at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Wagoner, to Romulus P. and Sally V. Vermillion Rogers. He was a retired rancher. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Ed Rogers, Silver City, N.M.; one daughter, Lynette Ziese, Stroud; three sisters, Hazel Gray and Goldie Brumnett, both of Wagoner, and Etta Centers, Olivehurst, California; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Bearers were Buddy Allison, Nick Clark, Rick Thayer, Howard Davis, John Layman, Gary Crow.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Craven Clark Rogers Jr.; her brothers, Norman and Thomas Cox and her sister, Evelyn "Gayle" Webster.
She is survived by her sister, Dianne Featherston (Keith) and children, Cheryl Rogers, Laura Rogers, Clark Rogers (Valerie), Regina Bryant, Susan Barger (Van); and 12 grandchildren, Clark, Ryan and Austin Rogers; Matt, Riley, Gavin, and Cole Parks; Annie, Emma, and Wesley Bryant; Madeline and Carson Barger; and four great-grandchildren.
