George first married Mary E. Simpson on Dec. 24, 1861. She died on April 13, 1885 and is buried at the Kempton Cemetery. He second married Mrs. Martha P. (Champ) Back on Oct. 16, 1885.

Martha's first husband was William Wallace Back. Her third husband was Hudson Gentry who she married on Jan. 10, 1893. She was still living in Clay, Decatur Indiana in the 1920 census as Martha Gentry.
