The book " Emigrant Cornelius Noel, From Holland to Virginia" has some errors. A certified researcher was able to confirm the correct line of descent to Cornelius, from Passchier Nowe of Halewijn, Vlaanderen, Netherlands, m. 29 Mar 1582/83 To Stijntje Jaspers.
"Old Rappahannock Record Deed Book 3," 1663-68, page 342. Feb 16, 1666-67. Cornelius Noell, Wm. Coffin, Henry Jearman (later Jarman) and John Powell, divide land they had patented Sep. 25, 1665. (this was patented 1697 on Occupacea Creek. "state Land Office Book 5," page 469.
7 Nov 1666 "Whereas Cornelius Noel has lived in this County Servant and Freeman and of the Reformed Religion and taken up land with a full resolution to make his constant abode in this County and to remain himself as a true and factful servant towards his Majesty and his Liege people hath petitioned he might be admitted a Denizen of this County. It is by the Governor Council and Burgesses of this Grand Assembly Granted or ordered that said Corenlius Noel be made a free Denizen. Journal of the House of Burgesses of Virginia 1659-60-1693. In the name of God, Amen, I Cornelius Noell being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory blessed and praised to Almighty God for the same do make & ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it hoping by the ---Death & passion of my blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to receive full pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and a joyfull & ---- at the last day. As for my body I commend it unto the ground to be decently & Christianly buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named. As far as Wordly goods that God hath lent me I dispose of in manner & form following, Viz. Imprimus, I give and bequeath the land and plantation where I now live, both freehold and copyhold with all that appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my loving wife Elizabeth Noell during her natural life. DANIEL NOEL was the oldest son of Cornelius Noel the immigrant and his estate was next to his fathers in Essex Co. He is thought to have been born as early as 1665 in Essex Co., VA. However, deed of gift from Thomas R. Page in 1675/6 could show him born shortly before this time. He m. Ellizabeth Eliott according to family tradition. No proof that Elizabeth's name was Elliott currently exists, but a Samuel Ellitt/Elliot family is known nearby.
Essex Co. Deed Book 22 p334, 21 Dec 1741 Daniel Noel being in perfect memory gives to his two son, John and Benjamin to be equally divided between them, the plantation where I now live with all houses and everything pertaining thereto lying in St. Ann's Parish and adjoining the three hundred acres already given by me to my three sons, Daniel, Cornelius, and Bernard Noel. And is the residue of the tract of land formerly granted me by Mr. Thomas Page January 23, 1675.

Unto my son David Vawter the use and profit of a Negro girl named Cloe until the first day of October one thousand seven hundred and fifty seven, also I give unto my son David Vawter what money he owes me and the crops, household furniture and tools which he has of mine in his possession, he paying his sister Winefred McBen fifty shillings currt. money. unto my son Angus Vawter, the first child my said Negro girl Cloe shall bring to be delivered him at a year old, or ten pounds currt. money which ever my son Angus shall choose.
Unto Ephraim Rucker and Margaret his wife one Negro girl named Cloe, they delivering to my son Angus Vawter the first child that the said Cloe shall bring or pay him ten pounds crrt. money which ever my said son Angus shall choose. But in case the said Cloe should die without such child or before she has been in the possession of Ephraim Rucker and his wife one year then my said son Angus to be paid ten pounds currt. money out of the remainder of my estate.
All the remainder of my estate to my two sons Richard Vawter and Angus Vawter and my daughter Winefred McBen.

Genealogies of Virginia Families, Volume III, Towles and Clark Families, Page 583.
On October 21, 1708, Stokeley Towles married, in Middlesex, Ann (born August 14, 1693) daughter of Claude Vallott, also known as Claude Champagne, who, on October 6, 1684, deposed that he was 35 years old. Vallott's wife was Ann (nee Jenkinson).
The Towles and Vallot families are original emigrants to Virginia and have had considerable histories written on the families. The most complete Towles genealogy is in the Virginia Genealogist Vol. 8 p. 220 et. seq. and Stokeley our direct line is found thoroughly researched in Tyler's Quarterly Historical Vol. XIII, pub. 1932, article of Towles and Clarks by William Newman starting on page 23 and continuing through several volumes. The Stockley/Stokeley family lines go back to 1609 and the original immigrants of brothers Francis and John Stockley. They located on the Eastern Shore of VA in Accomac County.
Towles' will, of record at Culpeper, made January 15, proved December 15, 1757, named Spencer Bobo and testator's (second) wife Jane executors.
From this will and other records, it appears that he had the following children: I Oliver, II JOHN, born April 5, 1712, III Henry (first),

In the name of God Amen, I Frances Vawter (widow of the late Richard Vawter, deceased) of the County of Madison and state of Virginia, calling in word the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life after death dothe make and ordain this my last will and testament revoking all other wills by me before made - Insomuch to bequeath my soul to God who gave it and my body to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner and as to my worldly goods my will and desire is that after my decease my Executor sell the whole of my estate and the money arising from the sale those together with that debts as owing to me and all the money I have in hand be divided in the following manner first pay to my daughter Frances Alpha and Omega Shelton thirty six pounds lawful money of Virginia and the balance to be equally divided between by three daughters Francis Alpha and Omega Shelton above mentioned. Book- History of the Rucker Family and Their Descendants - Ephraim Rucker was born in the early 1700s or perhaps late 1690s, most likely in England; possibly in Virginia. He lived in Culpeper (later called Madison) County, Virginia.

He was educated in the public schools of Iowa, and St. Francis Academy, Milwaukee, and St. John's College, Prairie Du Chien, Wis. In January, 1875, he came to Kansas, locating in Hartford, in partnership with his father, Francis Brogan. He is engaged in farming, and in stock feeding and dealing in Lyon, Coffey and Chase counties. He married Miss Eva I. Slack, of Hartford, December 11, 1879. Mr. and Mrs. Brogan are members of the Catholic Church.
