He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Olivia Vawter Mills, his mother Louise Mills, his children, Sharon Louise Mills (daughter), Ed Hensley (son-in-law), Snell Austin Mills III (son), and Carrie Eby Mills (daughter-in-law), as well as his aunt, Tommie Lee Hagan, and sister-in-law, Sara Vawter Lyons, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes, on Tuesday, June 30, at 4:00 p.m.
Interment will follow later in the week at Magnolia Cemetery in Maryville, Tennessee,
